OUR ACTIONS - COVID-19 special actions

COVID-19 SPECIAL ACTIONS

A large part of CDEL's activities such as missions abroad and the care of sick children in Luxembourg had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, not wanting to remain inactive during this difficult period, the Board of Directors has developed several projects to continue to provide aid to the most vulnerable.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.

In collaboration with Chaîne de l'Espoir Belgium, we have set up a sewing workshop within the Albert Royer Pediatric Hospital, our partner hospital in Dakar. Several people have found employment there and today manufacture masks, gowns, charlottes, ... for the establishment's medical staff.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.

Unable to travel to Jordan for the surgical mission planned for fall 2020, CDEL doctors carried out remote consultations and selected 25 Syrian refugee children living in the Zataari refugee camp near Amman. Thanks to CDEL funding, these small patients were operated on by local doctors and will benefit from postoperative follow-up.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.

CDEL will soon have direct access to the SATMED platform, graciously offered by SES, through which our doctors and surgeons will be able to make live consultations "alongside" their counterparts abroad and exchange medical information concerning patients.

The SATMED platform also makes it possible to organize conferences and training in order to share medical knowledge with partner hospitals.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
